My numbers
Look at the offer on DoorDash's own screen, check it against these two lines, decide. Nothing to tap here while you drive.
Stacked orders: use the total pay and total miles. Miles back to a busy area count too. Change the numbers behind these lines in Setup.
Rewards tier and completion
After each shift, copy your Overall rating and completion rate from the Ratings screen into the end-of-shift form. Update the six factor points in Setup when they change.

Details
Tap Pay or Miles, then use the keypad. For stacked orders, use the combined pay and combined miles.
Optional: minutes shown, miles back to hot zone
Playbook
- Decide your floor once (Setup tab), then let the numbers decide. Don't re-argue every offer.
- Short, pricey orders beat long, cheap ones. Dollars per hour is what counts, not the order total.
- Dash the lunch (11 to 2) and dinner (5 to 9) rushes. Your Stats tab shows your own best hours once you have data.
- Pick up where you'll end up. Miles back to the hot zone are unpaid, so enter them above.
Shift
Optional. Start it if you want your hours filled in for you at the end.
In progress
Confirm the real pay and miles at drop-off. Nothing is logged until you tap Delivered.
Log a completed delivery
Optional per-order logging. Don't also enter the same money in the end-of-shift form.
End of shift
One minute, parked. Copy the total from DoorDash's earnings summary. Everything else is worked out for you.

Sample dataWhere and when it pays
Uses your own shifts and deliveries. After a couple of weeks of tagging, the best zones and hours come from your data, not guesses. Restaurant means regular Delivery orders.
Delivery vs. Shop & Deliver
Estimated per hour counts drive time, wait time and shopping minutes for each order.

When you earn most
Try it with sample data
Loads two weeks of made-up deliveries so you can see the reports. Remove them with one tap.
Your floor
Pass all three floors and you get an Accept. Miss one floor by 10% or less and you get a Maybe. Miss it by more, or miss two, and you get a Decline. Dollars per hour matters more than dollars per mile, so keep the per-mile floor low (it starts at 80 cents) and let the hourly floor do the work. Tune them as you learn your area.
What My numbers follows
The line on the first tab is a flat base plus a rate per mile. Pick which floor sets that per-mile rate. The other floor shows up as a heads-up under the line instead.
Rewards tier points
Copy these from the Ratings screen in the Dasher app. Companion only uses the numbers you type. It does not guess how DoorDash turns a percentage into points. Leave blank to turn this off.
Points per factor
Tier protect
Floors loosen only when your Overall is within that many points of your current mark and your Acceptance points are not full. If Acceptance is already full, loosening can't help, so it stays off.
Completion
DoorDash's help page says completion covers your last 100 accepted offers and 90% is the minimum to stay active. Unassigning after you accept lowers it, so decline instead. Source: DoorDash Help, "Dasher Ratings Explained".
Shopping checks
Copy these from the Shopping tab on the Ratings screen: your number, then the target. Leave a target blank if the screen doesn't show it. The Shopping tab shows each target next to your number.
Zones
Pick your zone at the top of any tab. Shifts and deliveries get tagged with it, and Stats compares them. Edit the list to match where you dash. Zones stay on this phone.
Car and taxes
27 cents is AAA's rough figure for fuel and maintenance on a small SUV. It leaves out insurance, tire and brake wear and depreciation. Profit is also shown at the full IRS rate, which covers all of that: 72.5 cents per mile for miles before July 1, 2026 and 76 cents from July 1. The set-aside percentage is an estimate; confirm with your tax preparer.
Detail mode
Off keeps Companion hands-free: one shift costs about a minute of typing at the end. On adds the Check tab (keypad offer checker), and per-order logging.
